About The Juvenile Court

Our Mission

The mission of the DeKalb County Juvenile Court is to protect the best interests of the child and the community, to restore the lives of children who have been neglected or abused, to redirect children who have admitted to or have been found in violation of the law to become law abiding, productive citizens, and to support the continuity of families by leaving children in their homes whenever possible.

The Gregory A. Adams Juvenile Justice Center

Located at 4309 Memorial Drive, Decatur, Georgia 30032

  • Encompasses five floors and 110, 000 gross square feet
  • Features five courtrooms and one shell courtroom for future growth
  • Includes administrative offices for Court Services, Probation Division, Child Advocacy Department, Public Defenders, District Attorney and the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program
  • Features several public waiting areas, six program and training rooms and twenty-seven detainee holding areas
  • Complies fully with the accessibility guidelines established by Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • The Juvenile Justice Center is A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (L.E.E.D.) Silver Certified

Methods of Payment

 

    • In person Payments for fines, fees and restitution are accepted at the Juvenile Court Clerk’s Office from Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm in the form of cash, credit card, money order and cashier’s check.
    • By mail Payments submitted by mail must be in the form of either a cashier’s check or money order made payable to the Clerk of Juvenile Court. Your payment should be enclosed in a secure envelope and addressed as follows:
